Kokanje is a retirement village originally developed by the Association of Civil Servants of South Africa. Kokanje is situated on a 90ha wooded piece of bushveld land. It is situated in the municipal area of Nylstroom (Modimolle) with its ideal climate and unpolluted air.
Kokanje Retirement Home is a non-profit company that fully caters to the needs of senior citizens who have already retired or are retiring soon and still want to be independent, but still want to be assured of proper care when health circumstances necessitate it.

There are a variety of committees established and controlled by the residents. Residents annually elect representatives from among the residents to serve on the Management Committee at the annual meeting of the Management Association. The budget is compiled annually by the Management Committee and a monthly levy based on the budget is payable by the residents. The Management Committee would like to state unequivocally that it is Kokanje's calling as a service organization to provide you with an affordable service that you and we can be very proud of.
If you are interested in becoming part of the Kokanje family, please complete the attached application form and return it to us by return mail or email, along with proof of payment of the application fee of R500.00. The application fee is fully refundable upon removal from the waiting list.
