Kokanje is a Retirement Home originally developed by the Association of Public Servants of South Africa. Kokanje Retirement Home is a non-profit company that fully caters to the needs of senior citizens who are already retired or are about to retire and still want to be independent, but still want to be assured of proper care when health conditions necessitate it.
Kokanje offers a range of facilities to cater for everyone's sporting and social needs. The impressive Sports Centre provides for badminton, gym trim, snooker, table tennis, art classes, sewing classes and more as well as a superb golf course located just 3km from Kokanje.

Kokanje is a lovely retirement village near the town of Modimolle in the Limpopo province. The natural trees have been retained and there is an abundance of birdlife and small animals. The people are happy and relaxed. There is a unit for frail residents.

A right of occupation is sold to the occupier and co-occupier and a written contract is entered into between the buyer(s) and Kokanje Retirement Home. The acquisition of a right of occupation means that the occupier and co-occupier acquire lifelong right of occupancy of a specific residential unit against payment of a specified amount (depending on the type of residence desired) to Kokanje Retirement Home. No transfer costs or registration costs are payable. During the occupancy, the occupier and co-occupier are also assured of social and social care.
